Great addition to the Weber!!Aug 17, 2010
I added this thermometer to the dome lid of my Weber 22.5 Gold. I mounted it just above the hanging hook on the inside of the dome so that the probe doesn't get bumped when I slide the lid off and hang it. It reads perfectly and gives a good temperature about 3" above the cooking surface. Nice product I strongly recommend it.

Bought this for a new grill that didn't come with one.
Works great, was easy to install. You drill into the grill itself, and then push this through, and then putting the enclosed screw to hold it against the grill top. Before I permanently installed it, I used a hole on the side, and it works fine that way too.
It is larger than anyone I've seen (including the ones that come with grills) so it's easy to read, and it has the colors too.
I've heard problems with some of these whereby it gets too hot and the temperature sensor gets cloudy or stops working. I've had the top closed for a good hour on full blast, and this hasn't been the case for this one.
I give 5 stars when I don't have anything to ding it for. In this case I don't although it's also very simple.

Installed easy. Works good in my Ugly Drum Smoker. Checked it by taking temp of boiling water. Its all good.
