a good pair of tongsNov 01, 2008 These are a good basic pair of tongs. The little locking mechanism is easy to activate (push down to 'unlock'). They are relatively short, but for stovetop cooking that is the way to go because you have a lot more control (versus BBQing which you might want a slightly longer pair to save your hands). I like the way the finish looks on these things, it is a nice, quality looking stainless. That being said, sometimes when I put them in the dishwasher, there is still residue on the tongs (like grease/fat, etc). But I think this is because we have a weak dishwasher. I think we purchased these for about ten bucks, and for something that looks good and works well, that is a great deal.

The best tongs out thereDec 18, 2007 We cook a whole lot, and we came across these tongs one day and they are the absolute best. We have at least five sets of them, different sizes. They are the perfect weight, they have a nice fluid movement, and they don't rust. The design is easy to clean (not a lot of small spaces for food to get into) and I would definately recommend these.

Not All Tongs Are The SameMar 20, 2007 Purchased quite a few pairs of tongs in my life;some turned out to be flimsy, not well engineered, etc.,but these Cuisipro tongs are quite good.I prefer them even to my All Clad tongs, which are very good. They're tough yet won't rip the a delicate breading or batter, can pick up baked goods without mashing them, can pick up an entire roast easily, plus they have a really good tactile response. Some of these responses might seem over the top for just a simple pair of tongs, but c'est le vie.........
