I cook all sorts of foods in this dish!Jan 10, 2009 I recently purchased this dish. I thought it seemed a bit pricey, but I liked how it's ceramic which retains heat better when out of the oven. I've used this dish over 5 times in the last 2 weeks. And every time after washing it looks brand new.

Great ProductDec 31, 2008 One of the reasons that I started looking for an alternative to my old stanby 13x9 Pyrex baking dish was because it was not broiler safe. I bought the E.H. 13x10 dish a year ago for this specific purpose, and I have been very pleased with it so far.
The E.H. dish is slightly wider and deeper than my Pyrex dish, which is nice because now I don't have to worry about food spilling over the sides while it is cooking in the oven (most recipes call for a 9x13 dish).
The E.H. dish is also bottom rack dishwasher safe. Because the surfaces are smooth like a Pyrex, it could also be easily cleaned with a scrub brush and a dish rag. However, because the E.H. dish weighs 5 lbs.4.2 oz. (vs. the Pyrex of 3 lbs.9.9 oz.), I would definitely recommend using the dishwasher.
One reviewer mentioned using aluminum foil to line the dish before cooking. I'm not sure if this was to prevent burning? Is so, why not just add a little sauce to the bottom of the dish, as you would with a Pyrex dish? Nothing mysterious here.
Another nice feature about the E.H. dish is that it keeps food hotter out of the oven much longer than the Pyrex.
It should also be noted that the very bottom is not smooth, like the rest of the dish, so take care not to drag it over the counters like you would with a Pyrex dish.
At $60, this dish is a better bargain than the smaller E.H. designer version sold at the William-Sonoma stores. To me, this dish is prosciutto on a spam budget, and is a good buy.
Do not be afraid to use this dish as the manufacturer recommends!

Cracked after a few years of using this dishDec 29, 2008 I'm so disappointed that this baker cracked. I bought this about 4 years ago and only used it for lasagna and baked ziti, so it was used about 2-3 times a year! I really loved this pan because it is deep, about 3 inches, and it cleans up so well. I never put it in the freezer or dishwasher. The crack was not there when I was filling up the pan with ziti, it was discovered after I baked the ziti when I was hand washing it, the crack ran from the middle of the pan up the side, I just could not believe it. I never used this pan in very high temps either. So disappointing, I will not buy another Emile Henry product because of this experience.

Emile Henry products are incredibleJun 13, 2008 Emile Henry products are incredible and this one is no exception. They are beautiful, very rugged and very versitile. I have bought 2 of these bakers for myself and 2 more as wedding gifts and everyone loves them!
