Great TongsFeb 17, 2010 These are by far the best kitchen tongs I've used, as well as great looking. The locking mechanism is ingenious. I also have the Good Grips tongs which are quality utensils, but these are much better.
Simply the bestFeb 11, 2010 I've used a lot of tongs, including the OXO brand. Believe me, there is a reason for the price of these compared to the other brands. They are just superbly crafted. First, they grip everything perfectly. I use them to turn shrimp and chops, lift a roast out of the pan, and toss pasta with sauce. And, maybe the best part is that they really do require only ONE HAND to operate (I didn't really believe that until I used them), and there is no possibility of pinched fingers. They are just a joy to use. Worth every penny.
Rosle tongsJan 13, 2010 My wife and daughter, who is in a culinary program, love them. They are heavier, well-built and the gravity activated locking mechanism is fantastic. I've stopped buying cheap everything: tools, clothes and any piece of equipment. They do not last. These will provide years of good use.
glad I read other reviewsApr 27, 2009 I was about to order the "highly recommended" by ATK OXO GOOG GRIPS then I read reviews on this Rosle. I am so glad I did, I'm wondering if this product wasn't available when Americas Test Kitchen did their search because these are so much better than anything Oxo came out with. They are so easy to handle and to lock and unlock. I really am glad I spent the extra money.

Best so FarDec 24, 2008 I have tried a large number of Tongs, including models from All Clad, KitchenAid, OXO, Weber, etc. My favorite were the Oxo good grips until these came along. I've been using these over the past 6 months.
Pro's:
1.) They are elegant, nicely constructed with just the right weight.
2.) The one handed locking mechanism has surpassed my expectations and works as well as it did on day one.
3.) Very secure grip, you can apply as much pressure as you want and they will not wane. Some of the others I have would twist slightly on high pressure.
4.) The scalloped shape of the clasps is just the right compromise for a variety of foods.
Con's:
1.) The price is high for the amount of metal. Though the finish quality is fantastic. I think you get what you pay for in this case.
