5Form and FunctionFeb 10, 2010
This ladle is both beautiful and highly functional. The polished metal finish looks great, while the hooked end, angled handle, and rim all add up to perfection in the kitchen.

5works beautifully!Jan 21, 2010
Well, mine has a sticker on it that clearly reads "Made In Germany" so if that is a big sticking point for you, rest assured. Besides that, who goes online to write a review about a ladle?! Well, this is a beautiful item. I was wary because it is expensive and I don't like to spend a lot if I can get the same quality for less money... But I was tired of my "cheap" ladles that dripped all over the side of the cup when ladling out hot chocolate. This ladle really does have a pouring rim that eliminates that mess. Sometimes it pays to pay more for a better product!

5Great for chunky soupsJan 16, 2010
My wife is Chinese. We make soups with very large bones in all shapes including long chicken bones . This ladle has been able to pick up every thing. I bought two 2 ladles and both had labels that said they were made in Germany if that's your thing.

5I'll have this ladle the rest of my lifeDec 21, 2009
Rosle has a reputation for top quality, but until I stumbled on a 4-for-3 Amazon deal I didn't give myself permission to test that reputation. I'm glad I bought this, however. The construction is beyond "sturdy;" I think I could hammer nails with this thing. There's no seams, so there's no way that this ladle can fall apart. I'm sure I'll have it for 30 years.

Also, it looks good (in a functional way -- I'm not saying I'd be tempted to use it as a formal serving spoon). The pouring rim *does* make it easier to use, and I the hook keeps the ladle from going kerPLUNK into the stock pot.

3It's made in ChinaDec 11, 2009
My initial interest in this ladle was because it was recommended by America's Test Kitchen. I thought the steep price was justified because the product description on here says all Rosle products are made in Germany. Well when it arrived, I found a tiny sticker on the handle that says 'made in China'. I felt I was cheated.
